1. Who We Are
Proudoo (formerly Chorbit) ("we", "us", "our") is a family chore management application. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at: support@proudoo.app
2. What This App Does
Proudoo is a gamified chore management app for families. Parents create a family account, assign chores to their children, and children complete chores to earn XP, streaks, and rewards. The app is designed to be used by parents and their minor children under direct parental supervision.
3. Information We Collect
From Parents
- Email address and password (via Clerk authentication)
- First name and display name
- Family name and configuration
- Chore and reward settings you create
From Children
- Child's first name and age (entered by the parent)
- Chore completion activity and history
- XP, streak, and level progression data
- Avatar and in-app choices
Automatically Collected
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Basic usage logs (errors, crash reports) for app stability
We do not collect location data, contacts, or microphone data. If you choose to upload a photo proof for chore completion, that photo is stored on our server and associated with the chore completion record only.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate and identify family accounts
- Display chore progress, streaks, XP, and rewards to the correct family
- Deliver "I'm proud of you" messages from parent to child
- Maintain app functionality and fix technical issues
- Respond to support requests
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of providing the Proudoo service.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Notice)
Proudoo is designed for use by families, including children under 13, under direct parental supervision and control. Parents create and manage all accounts. Children do not independently create accounts or provide their own information directly.
Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
- We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under 13
- All child profile data is entered and managed by the parent
- Parents may review, update, or delete their child's data at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature within the app
- We do not share children's data with third parties for advertising or marketing
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the app:

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not share data with any other third party.
7. Data Security
We protect your data using:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Secure, access-controlled database servers
- Authentication tokens managed by Clerk (industry-standard practices)
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We are committed to using commercially reasonable means to protect your information.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When an account is deleted, all associated data — including child profiles, chore history, XP, streaks, and rewards — is permanently and immediately deleted.
9. Account Deletion
You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data in two ways:
- In-app: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
- By email: Send a deletion request to support@proudoo.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" (details: proudoo.app/delete-account)
Upon deletion, all parent and child profile data, chore history, and rewards data will be permanently and immediately removed.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
